The drilling and sawing industry is a dynamic and fast moving industry.  Here we aim to keep you up-to-date with  industry developments as well as our latest company news: 

The Managing Directors at Core Drilling Specialists took part in a sponsored cycle for The Prader-Willi Syndrome Association Charity. The Cycle was held on the 25th July 2009. There were eight cyclist and all eight manage to complete the 50 miles over the Crammond Bridge across the Fourth Road Bridge and back over the Kincardine Bridge. The fastest time was 3 hours 28 minutes which was Malcolm Murray our M.D. Altogether we managed to raise over £2000.00, which will help Prader-Willi Syndrome Association, help families with children born with P.W.S.

As with other companies due to these difficult times C.D.S Ltd are diversifying into other areas of work. We are currently completing two large contract in the east region of Scotland. Although C.D.S are predominatley a drilling contractor our contracts in the east region included downtaking, structural alterations, slappings and temporary builders works. Being able to carry out these works not only benefits C.D.S but also minimises the number of sub-contractors the main contractor would need to deal with.

Subsea Specialist Cutting Division

Core Drilling Specialists can now offer the following sub sea services:

Hydraulic and pneumatic drilling underwater for fixing eye bolts, anchor points, service holes or taking samples for testing of existing structures.

Hydraulic bursting underwater for breaking up of concrete structures for removals or reducing heights of rock hazards in shipping lanes.

Hydraulic wire sawing underwater to reduce heights of steel piling, taking top sections from harbour walls etc to allow refurbishment

Hydraulic track sawing underwater to remove spalled edges from slipways etc leaving a clean edge for renovation works also used to groove slipway surface giving more traction to ease vehicle movement.
